Fire Retardant Foam

For purposes of reference, none of the foams generally used for cushioning and packaging can be completely non-burning. The industry has adopted the term Ignition Modified to more correctly refer to the burning rate and amount of dangerous gases emitted when various foam products burn. All Polyurethane Ether foams used in residential furniture must meet a basic national standard requiring the ability to self extinguish if the original flame source is removed. Several industrial grade Polyurethane Ester foams meet another nationally recognized standard.

We are able to offer several products that meet the much higher standards needed for institutional, military, transportation, and high- risk prison applications. We currently supply this product to many state and federal agencies through annual contracts. Please contact us today for more information if you are seeking this type of foam.
